This super-efficient DC-powered rooftop air conditioner is designed from the ground up to maximize the comfort of your outdoor adventure. With the DC-powered twin-cylinder rotor compressor, Velit 2000R draws as low as 20A (at 12V) and is able to deliver fresh cool air to you at up to 126F for an extended period of time without needing a giant inverter which is required for traditional RV ACs. It also has a slim profile with only 7” of clearance and can easily fit in the standard 14x14 rooftop cutouts.
This is a complete kit. For van installs or other uneven surfaces, you need to purchase the sealant separately. Sealant is not required for flat surface installs such as RV roofs.

Fitment and installation
The 2000R drops into a standard 14 x 14 in rooftop cutout and stands only 7.1 in tall above the roof (31.5 x 31.5 in footprint, 66 lb). It is a complete kit: mounting brackets, sealing gasket, mounting hardware, interior trim panel, remote, and a 15 ft wiring harness with in-line fuse (6 AWG for 12V, 8 AWG for 24V) are all in the box. On a flat roof, such as an RV roof, no sealant is required. On a van roof or any uneven surface, sealant is required and purchased separately — and on a Ford Transit, the curved roof needs a leveling solution: our Air Conditioner Aluminum Furring Kit for Ford Transit (Front 3-piece kit $292, Rear 2-piece kit $197).
Power planning
The 2000R runs natively on DC power — 12V, 24V, or 48V — so there is no inverter loss and no giant inverter to buy. Draw is 20–60A at 12V (10–33A at 24V, 5–18A at 48V). Eco mode sips 250–300W, so a modest lithium bank carries it for hours; Turbo mode draws 400–680W for fast cool-downs. Cooling capacity is 8,000 BTU (12V), 9,000 BTU (24V), and 10,000 BTU (48V), and it keeps delivering at up to 126°F outside.
