Description:
The Tec Vanlife Acrylic Awning Window is designed for camper van, RV, and custom wall builds that need ventilation, privacy, and improved insulation in one unit.
The window uses double-pane acrylic glazing with rubber seals to help reduce drafts and improve interior comfort. The awning window opens outward and is supported by struts on each side, allowing it to stay open at different positions instead of locking only into preset points.
The interior frame includes a two in one pleated blind and bug screen system. The blind provides privacy and light control, while the bug screen allows airflow while helping keep insects out.
Installation Guide:
General installation steps:
Prepare the window frame and mark the cutout line
Remove the rubber gasket from the window frame and make sure the bonding surface is clean
Position the window on the wall and draw the cutout line
Cut the opening using an air jigsaw or similar cutting tool
Apply windshield urethane adhesive along the inner edge of the window frame
Apply enough adhesive to create a strong bond
Use tape around the cutout area so excess adhesive can be removed more easily
Carefully place the window frame into the cutout
Press the window firmly against the wall to ensure proper contact with the adhesive
Use temporary supports or tape to hold the window in place while the adhesive cures
Wipe away excess adhesive from the edges of the window frame
Leave the window undisturbed until the adhesive has fully cured
After curing, check the window for stability and proper sealing
For wall thickness between 6 mm and 19 mm:
